The Victor is...
Who| EVERYONE. IC participation is mandatory (OOC is not, you may handwave)
What| Momoko's victory crowning
Where| The ball room
When| The Wednesday before the next arena.
Warnings/Notes| None atm.
The party was styled for Momoko.
The tables were covered in lace, delicate dishes and silverware, flowers that fell from vases covered in Victorian paintings. It was the most extravagant tea party to ever be thrown, with tiny, thin china cups and a too many tiny little finger foods being passed around to count. The ballroom has been styled in extravagant Baroque, as the Capitol was fairly liberal with their adaption of historical time periods.
The costumes were just as liberally chosen, from tall, powdered wigs holding birdcages with live birds, clearly hailing in the style of Marie Antoinette to regency gowns gathered under daringly (and occasionally outright) exposed busts to tight corsets and the skeletons of skirts exposed and decorated. A quarter played live music at one end of the room, before a wide dance floor.
At the head of the room there was a long table with a throne for Momoko, as elaborate as anything else in the room. And along the long table, group close to those who they seemed to enjoy, was a place for many of the Tributes, with a small place card that said "Special guest of The Capitol." This table was fed first, received drinks first, and was clearly favored.
Any Tributes not seated at the long table with their peers were dispersed among the the smaller table spread about the room, left to rub elbows with the guests invited from the Capitol, and the reporters covering the event. Security was, if anything, tighter than the last crowning.
These people have seats a the big kids table. You guys are free to decide who sits by who (And if three people sit by one person, don't worry too much about it) but they are, when possible set by their friends:
Atticus Bell
Draco Malfoy
Chibi-Usa
Dr. Grey
Adel
Tony Stark
Howard Bassem
Javert Neeshka
Vanessa Carlysle
Lindsey McDonald
R
Albert Wesker

Re: Who wants to sit next to Wesker? :D :D :D
He recognizes Wesker from the videos, of course. The videos he'd poured over, studying every minute of the other tribute's triumphs and failures. Interesting man, Wesker. Interesting, and dangerous. But what fun would things be without some danger?
no subject
True, Wesker hadn't had any particular desire to seek out Grey when he'd first seen him on the tapes, but now - after meeting Aunamee - his perspective had certainly shifted.
Anyone who could bring out that response in the wannabe-charmer, Wesker wanted to meet.
The blond head turned, and nodded. "Doctor."
no subject
And he is. Turning to look at themonsterman, he responds. "Wesker, was it?"He'd seen what Wesker had done to Katurian after he'd left the man bleeding and helpless there on the ice. Wesker was something more than human, that much was certain. Wesker was someone to have on your side. And if he could find out more about the other man's biological makeup in the process? All the better.
no subject
And he crossed his right arm over his chest, holding out his hand. The picture of politeness.
No more afraid of this man, with his strange metal arm and his rage, than he was of anyone else. In fact, if anything, Wesker felt more of a kinship with this one than anyone.
He had, after all, known his fair share of mad doctors.
"Albert Wesker."
no subject
The trick would be getting information about the man's biology while maintaining good relations. It seemed the wisest route. As opposed to, oh, say, kidnapping him.
no subject
Flattery was cheap to Wesker, and it meant little for him to spend it. Particularly if it got him what he wanted.
Grey could be of use to him. If an understanding could be reached, if he could temper the man's mercurial moods.
no subject
The scientist is surprised again, but pleasantly so. It's so rare that someone recognizes his accomplishments these days. Yes, out surviving Aunamee while the man was at full power was quite a talent, if he did say so himself.
"You've seen the videos, then." He replies, grin ever wider. "That man... " His eyes look suddenly distant and there's a flicker of fear, just for an instant. "I'd known of his psychic abilities, but not of his near invincibility." He finishes after a moment.
no subject
So that's what those tapes had been about, hmm?
Visions. Psychic abilities.
Where had he seen that before?
"'Near,' being the word of choice." He looked at Grey again, the Doctor's reflection staring back at him from the twin lenses of his dark, black glasses. "As I recall, you outlived him."
no subject
"He's a fool." Grey does spare a glance down the table at Aunamee, though it lasts a mere second. He could kill him here and now. See him dead forever. But the Capitol would ensure his own death in turn.
no subject
(For a moment he thought he was looking at Isaacs. Those last days before the fall of the Nevada facility. Those last hours as the doctor had succumbed to his own creation.)
It was almost like being back.
His mouth twisted in amusement.
"He's weak."
