Who| District 6 (Ariadne, Cas, Clint, Jade, anyone else I might be missing?)
What| getting to know each other.
Where| the District 6 common room.
When| this evening.
Warnings/Notes| none right now.
Ariadne wasn't entirely sure what to do. It wasn't like she was the best at mentoring at the best of times, but the least she could do was meet the rest of her District. Properly. Not just in passing, or watching them on the screens.
The lockdown was a pretty good opportunity for that, actually. What with the curfew cutting off any parties that might have been going on, she found it easy enough to get the lot of them together. Albeit a bit awkwardly.
She sat on one of the couches, frowning a little as she glanced between the lot of them. "You're mostly new, aren't you?"

"Who are you?" He asked shortly tilting his head at her.

He was perfectly happy to just watch them interacting for now.

Funny, though, how quiet they all were.
Her eyes lingered on Clint, her expression alert but unreadable, "I'm supposed to help you out with the Games, but by the looks of things, I'm not sure it'll be necessary."
no subject
"How did you win?" His voice was even but there may have been a slightly indicator of doubt. He had seen the competitors, he was curious how such a small girl bested them.
no subject
"Yeah, I wouldn't mind hearing that story either."
no subject
She frowned a little, tipping her head to one side. "There's a video of it somewhere."

"So you had each other's backs until you had to kill each other?"

Ariadne's eyes flicked to Clint in turn, using that as a good segue, "No. Don was dead before it came to that. He took out another Tribute while I was injured, and when I got up, the cannons declared them both dead."
no subject
"Do you know Dean?" He asked turning to Ariadne.

And he's going to just tune out this part of the conversation as he's pretty sure it's personal on trenchcoat's part and nothing at all to do with him.

Her eyes flicked between them again, and she thought that the pair of them were probably well suited to having her as a Mentor. They both seemed quiet, keeping to themselves unless it was necessary. Though it was probably a complete fluke.

"What is the point of a death match where no one really dies?" Perhaps they had been told the answer to this.

It was never a good thing when people with the power of God had the mindset of greedy children. He had been running into this far too often lately.
"Are we just suppose to sit here?"

Clint was right - they were being monitored. It was why Ariadne's reply was vague at best, more noncommittal than anything else. Even if it didn't really help anyone.

"Did either of you have anything you wanted to know?"

"All right. That's good." Ariadne paused, thinking over what else a Mento might tell a Tribute, eyes flicking to the side briefly. "How are either of you at basic survival skills?"
no subject
"I don't need food,or sleep. I can fight fairly well, but I'm still getting used to not having my Grace."
no subject
He glanced at Castiel. "Lose your girlfriend?"
no subject
no subject
"My Grace is the power bestowed upon me by god." He explained calmly.

"They took everyone's powers away to level the playing field; it makes sense."

no subject
"The same way they take away anybody's anything. Hate to break it to you, buddy, but you are nobody's special snowflake here."

"The contestants are chosen completely at random?" He had seen some contestants that hardly looked like they knew how to defend themselves. That didn't seem to make for a very competitive game.
