Sandy couldn't understand why. She had never done anything particularly nice except for the hug, she'd never done anything impressive in the arena.
But Effie didn't mind. Effie liked her.
She took another step, then another till she was leaning into Effie.
"I'm still freaked out." She assured the only adult she trusted.
"I don't want to die again."
