When he heard her say those three words his face lit up. "I love you too." He watched her smiling. "More than anything." In a quick motion he snagged some brown rice from her plate.

The pesky hostess came back around. "How is everything, Mr. Odair?" the waiter had checked in on them minutes earlier so there hadn't been a legitimate need for her to come by.  Still he wasn't phased by her unnecessary appearance.  At least here he didn't need to explain why this was occurring to Annie.

"Fantastic- thanks for asking."

"Is there anything I can get you?" Not addressing Annie in the slightest.

"Oh, we're fine thank you, Miss-."  he flashed her a smile that told her he was solely focusing on her in that moment. The smile that worked on all the Capitol girls when you wanted something out of them.

"Angular." she jumped in

"Miss Angular." he grinned to her, giving her his undivided attention in a distinct maneuver she was falling for. "Probably just the bill- unless my money isn't good here."

"Oh! Yes! I'm sure something can be arranged. I mean I will arrange something." She responded appropriately to the look he kept on his face.  Attempting to keep her posture and straight face even though it was obvious she wanted to giggle and grin.  The response all Capitol girls gave when he spoke their names. "I-It'll be taken care of, Mr. Odair."

"Thank you, sweetie." A name he distinctly never called Annie. Something about it was condescending and was specifically for exactly what he was doing.  With a wink, he dismissed the fluttery girl and looked back to Annie, in all seriousness he addressed her, "Never become like that." he took a long drink of wine. "I'll pull my hair out if you do."
