Annie nibbles on a few small bites of food. She'd not had much of an appetite all day, but none of what lays before her is so heavy that it upsets her stomach. And the food is delicious; unquestionably so.
She takes a few bites, and then another sip of wine, laughing at Finnick as she does. "Delicious, yes. But I agree. And I would like the Donovan's to cook the lobsters we serve." They were somehow related to Mags. Cousins, or perhaps nieces and nephews. Great nieces and nephews, to be sure. They ran a small eatery in District 4, and would sometimes bring extras over for Mags who was still perfectly capably of feeding herself of course, but always welcomed the company. Annie spent a good deal of time with Mags, when she wasn't with Finnick so she'd had her share of their delicious lobster; always cooked perfectly. She was sure there was some secret spice they used, but they would never say. Its something she thinks of fondly. Like their jokes about wedding plans.
Its halfway a heartbreak on one hand, knowing that the reality of a wedding is a beautiful dream at best. But she knows he would marry her in an instant if he could. She remembers the night that he asked, she had almost not believed him. Even still, Annie finds that fact that Finnick never tires of her nothing short of a miracle. But his proposal is one of her most precious memories. And despite the heartbreak of it all, she likes to talk about it. It's their little secret that they share: that someday, they will build the rest of their lives together.
