What the heck is this Big Sibling business supposed to be about, anyway? Sure, guidance, teaching, whatever, but trolls don't have siblings. Not like humans do. The Scourge Sisters were a pair of murderers when it comes down to it, and no matter how many brothers Gamzee tossed out in conversation, it was a term of no familial affiliation. But this, like so much is, is a task Karkat will put up with for the sake of presenting the right image. It's not the worst he's had to do.

Come recess time, he has an eye out for his assigned partner. He's never spoken to him before, but he's heard the name in the casual way of another classmate, and he expects nothing weird. When he realizes he can't recall what the kid looks like, he wonders if maybe he should have paid more attention.

For now, though, he'll do the thing his naturally loud voice is good for and call, "Vivi? We got assigned for shit!" If the kid doesn't come then, he can at least say he made the effort.

(Who's he kidding? He'd hunt him down one way or another, out of frustration at the least.)
