The party's excitable host has had a few weeks to get to know his new home and plan some paths around it, so aside from the obvious branding, it's only natural that he should be a ubiquitous fixture in the apartment. He comes strutting or dancing through groups at random, pushing past people with only a laugh and a pair of chipper finger guns offered for an apology. In his defense, it is kind of difficult to find him; he's dressed down entirely in black, cotton on top and form-fitting leather on bottom, which easily blends into the shady lighting and mass of bodies surrounding. It's a bit conspicuous in how inconspicuous it is--as it should be, since the choice was deliberate. For once, rather than spending most of the night attempting to be the center of attention, Gary frequently breaks from chatting up some of the more illustrious guests and games to go wander the quieter areas. There's a pen and pad of paper stuffed in the rim of his pants.
The air is a little odd around him. Gary is all smiles and fun, as usual, but he definitely seems alert. It would be stupid not to be, even for him. Deciding to go through with such a big PR event so soon after the execution is a pretty big risk--but then again, so would waiting until after the dust settled. They're supposed to go about their business like nothing's happened, right? That is the good Capitolite thing to do, and damn, if Gary isn't a good Capitolite!
A good Capitolite is also an excellent host, and Gary doesn't plan to skimp on that detail, either. He's not by the door to greet people as they come in, but he gets to everyone eventually, typically by sneaking up from behind and giving them a firm tap on the shoulder.
