It appears as though he's doing well. The Batter doesn't always look for recognition or praise - it's unnecessary, it doesn't grant him instant victory, it's useless to him. But knowing that his authorities see him as an asset, as someone who will bring honour and victory to their district, he can't help feeling a little smug about it.

"It's not stopped me before," he answers without hesitation. Adults, children, monsters, and any variation between were of no issue. "I'll not let anything stand in the way of my victory. I can assure you of that."
