Her gaze drifted while Terezi wrote, just around them, but she doesn't have much time to look around. The pad is back in her hands before she can think about the situation and she takes back the pen to reply.
Part of her feels bad for the distance, for reading the article that would make it harder to be treat Terezi fairly, like any other tribute. None of that comes in her reply, not her distance or the uncertainty of said distance, just smiling and her usual tone of reply.
