Nick's starting to wonder if Gary will continue to seemingly mimic him if he just flipped the bird at a Capitol camera...and then they would both end up locked in a jail cell and who knows what he'd have to put up with in there. His mind declares that it's not worth the trouble, so he pays no mind. He's not used to "front man" being associated with "quiet" but some band members keep to themselves enough that it's hard to see past the stage persona. Maybe Gary's not wrong there, but he's wrong in assume that Nick would be at the front of any band.
"We actually tried forming a garage band once. But we got lazy and ended up not workin' out." Everyone had their own priorities; work, exams, or even dates for some etc. It just never became a thing. "To be honest, I'm...sort of alright with just playin' by myself." He doesn't hide the slight twinge of disappointment that the band didn't work out, but he's not devastated. With the way how the others had other things that kept them occupied (himself included), he saw it coming.
"I mean, you're welcome to listen or...sing along or somethin' next time, if you want." Nick folds his arms, though not out of defense like usual. "Just don't ask me to dance or...whatever."
