Alpha watches him go, watches his progress, though he's careful to make it look like he's just watching the people huddled in the ballroom, so no one else starts the kid too. This was really only meant to be a game, a way to torment both Howard and Ballard at the same time, but if he can get some use of Howard at the same time, all the better.
