Anna's trying to keep her cool, but more than being angry, or upset, she's embarrassed. She's just been questioned about her sexual experience--which comes to exactly none--and informed that her boyfriend just happens to be into other men. Men who dress as women. It's humiliating, mostly due to her own lack of knowledge.

"It never came up?" Anna repeats, scandalized. "We've known each other nine months and it never came up that you were, well, doing that, with her?" She feels a little hopeless, honestly, her shoulders falling. "I don't really know what to say."
