Slumber Party

Who| All adult Tributes
What| Slumber party fun times!
Where| The common room
When| during the Chilren's arena
Warnings/Notes| For those who earn tickets, please see this thread to post who they send them too.

The Tributes are told to arrive back at the Tower by 4 o'Clock. Anyone not there by 5 will in fact find themselves nudged home by their friendly, neighborhood peace keepers.

Everyone finds a set of P.J.s on their bed, and although there isn't any particular theme to them, none of them fall under normal, and all lean towards the children's side of things. Footsie P.J's, knee length plaids in bright pink, polyester frilly princess night gowns. And although the night isn't saturated in it, pink and purple are solidly the color code of the night.

Once everyone had been dressed, even if it is by force, they are all hearded down to the common room, which has been decked out. Pillows are everywhere, and large chunks of the floor have been changed into giant beds. The whole room is geared just slightly larger, to give the tributes the subtle but inescapable feeling that they are smaller. Gauzy curtains separate areas of the room by activity, but most furniture has been removed, sans a few scant pieces left for party purposes. Each Tribute is passed over a bag, blues for the boys and pinks for the girls. Within are a selections of goodies-face masques, a small personalized blanket with their face printed on it, and a check list of the activities. For every activity completed you get 5 tickets to send to any kid in the arena, and for completing them all you get a 20 point bonus.

On one huge wall, the Children's arena is broadcast across the whole wall. No matter where you may be in the room, you can see this wall, and the majority of the pillows are gathered around to watch it. An avox near the side of the wall will take any earned tickets and get them to the Tribute of choice in the arena, who will receive it with their next ticketed activity. Directly across from it is a huge table, dripping with every variety of junk food. Pizza's are piled high, and whenever the pile runs low a "delivery" avox will bring more. Chips, soda, cookies, and even more hand made variety of junk food like buckeyes and pigs in a blanket are spread across the table. And there is always an avox near by to "spike" your pop.

Pillow Fight: A padded arena for two is set up, with pillow armor and stuffed weapons.

Make Overs: A small salon is set up, full of ridiculous supplies like wigs, tattoo stencils, and rainbow make up. Nothing is neutral here. There are no stylists however, just lots of their toys for the Tributes to play with.

Fashion Show: After your make over you can walk over to the dressing room, full of things that are all over sized. Shoes, dressed, boas, all made sized up as if the Tributes were children themselves. You must walk the fashion run way to get points.

Video Games: A whole gaming area is set up. However the only game is a fighting game programmed with all the Children Tributes as characters.

Cup Cake Decorating: Just about everything is here to decorate, including decadent things such as live flowers and real gems. Everyone is told they must submit a cupcake for judging, the winner gets 20 extra tickets.

Spin the Bottle: Much like the traditional game, except the bottle is full. Take a swig of whatever is in the bottle before you drink, and it makes you feel much better about having to play spin the bottle after just one shot.

Seven Minutes in Heaven: Two participants are chosen at random throughout the party and hurried into a large closet for 7 minutes "alone," which anyone outside the closet can see on the monitors on the wall behind the closet. Which your character may or may not have seen before being rushed in.

He starts trying to mop it up, using his human hand to shove the icing aside because gunk like that got into the joints of the cybernetic one like nobody's business and was a pain in the ass to get out. Worst case scenario he'd have to go ask Tony Stark for help if he did that.

"At least it amused you." he says with a shake of his head as he tries to salvage his cupcake, exasperated already. Bucky hates these events. Tell him to kill someone or inflitrate a high security facility, he could do that in his sleep, decorating a cupcake not so much.

"Don't get a big head, I'm easy," Well, she is for right now, at least. Damn, what had been in that bottle? "Here, here, let me-- shit, let me help."

She tried to mop some of it up with a napkin, but Jane's main contribution to the effort was a pile of glitter from an overturned dispenser. Or maybe it only looked like glitter, and was supposed to be considered sprinkles?

Regardless, it isn't a particularly helpful endeavor. But she's trying, and therefore no one should criticize her.

Bucky hasn't been drinking, because it probably wouldn't be a good idea, so he has a clear head at least - though professional opinion would vary on whether his current mental state resembled having a clear head in any way. It quickly becomes apparent that their attempt to clean up the mess isn't getting far, it's actually getting worse.

"Edible glitter." he says, seeing the dispense Shepard had knocked over. "There's edible glitter?" Why that of all things seems so unbelievable to him he doesn't know.

He pulls his hand back and sucks a glob of icing off one of his fingers to clean it.

"You kidding me? The fucking gemstones are probably sugar too," She'd be surprised if the table wasn't edible. Hell, almost anything was edible if you tried hard enough. She thinks about leaning over to lick it, just to be sure, but halfway through the motion she overbalances and ends up leaning more onto Bucky than against him.

Hello, sir.

"You're a shitty cakemaster, Barnes."

"I didn't know they could do that." he says, half-shrugging and decides to test it out with a dab of icing on his finger being subjected to the edible glitter before he pops it in his mouth. Bucky can't taste any difference but the glitter makes a not altogether pleasant texture. "Why would people want to--"

He stops and freezes into place when Shepard's weight lands on him. In that moment every thought process he has crashes to a halt and he can't move, he can't move. If he moves he will hurt her, he will hit her, throw her away from him and the peacekeepers will come and they'll hurt him. His hands lock into fists and he's sinking, pulling up the pieces of the Soldier to deal with the situation for him.

"Yes." the word comes out stilted with barely any inflection.

Now, someone else might have noticed his stiffness, but Shepard was either oblivious, or perhaps she was only unwilling to be otherwise. There was also the distinct possibility that Jane was simply too lazy to move, now that she was prone; he was not comfortable, but any bed would have been comfortable, in her state.

Regardless, it would probably take more than simply being tossed over a table to injure anything more delicate than her pride. So, instead of getting up, or moving, or anything sensible and sane, Shepard reaches up and dabs a bit of blue frosting onto the very tip of Bucky's nose, smiling all the while.
tookthewheel: (But whhhhy)

Now he does flinch backwards. Twisting his head and the frosting smears across his cheek like warpaint instead.

He has to say something and remind himself that they are not in some Hydra lab somewhere, which means he doesn't have to sit here and take whatever is thrown his way. If he can just speak he can ask Shepard to move away from him and she'll say yes, surely because that is what these people do, they listen to him.

Bucky opens his mouth, "Do... don't." that's not enough though. "Please don't touch me."

He feels tight all over in the wake of it, waiting for the hammer to fall.

Drunk, that was the answer. Definitely, definitely drunk. Still, even sauced, she can recognize a 'no' when it's said so plainly. So she did, pushing off with her elbow and levering her wobbling weight up on the uncertain balance of one hand.

"Sure, sure. Sorry. I might be a li'l...compromised."
tookthewheel: (Wasn't prepared for this)

[personal profile] tookthewheel 2015-01-27 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Bucky let's out a breath he didn't even realise he was holding when Shepard moves off of him. He clenches his hands to hide the faint tremble in them and still can't quite look at her, even as he agrees with what she's saying. She is compromised, it's about the only thing that makes him not want to flee immediately.

Not that he exactly can, they're stuck in this room for the entire night.

"I'm done." he's looking at the cupcake when he says it, the pile of blue icing on top of it will have to be good enough.
