Normal?

She has to stop and think about that for a moment. It's not that the idea of normalcy was foreign to her, but she's not sure she ever really felt normal. She hadn't been raised in the kind of environments that inspired one to feel normal. Not when she was basically a piece of meat for attributes she was born with. It's hard to imagine what feeling normal is supposed to be like, other than feeling close to content with your place in life. That much, at least, she remembered.
