Beth doesn't know if she'll ever become accustomed to watching brutal violence. She hopes she never does, because the price of that kind of desensitization has to be incredibly high. She watches as the man in front of her kills the other man with ruthless efficiency and turns to look at him with a purposefully steady gaze. It's sort of obvious that she's trying not to freak out, because that isn't an option.
