Apparently Gary is quite sure of his balance, as he continues wobbling along the edge with his arms out and does not seem concerned about the potential of veering one way or the other. This goes on for a few moments. Gary is, after all, only trying to find ways to entertain himself while he's looking around, there's no real point to it--that is, until he looks up from his feet and realizes that Ringabel is still watching him.
At this point it becomes a contest. Gary stops and his smile widens. "Waiting for someone?" he asks idly, while his eyes wander to the nearest island of trees. He can make that jump, he thinks. Never mind just stepping down and walking on the path between them, of course, that simply isn't allowed. Gary braces his knees and waits for a response.
