And if that means going along with this on the surface, giving himself the best chance he's got, then that's what he's going to do.

Still, the charm bit makes him grin a little. "I'll remember that." He can do closed off and stoic just as well as open, depending on the situation, but whatever he goes with - there's no way he's going to be honest.
