She seems a bit taken aback by the question "To be honest, it's been a long time since anyone has asked me that." She remarks with a more relaxed smile.

"I was a tribute once as well, that's how you get the position of mentor. You have to win. After that you are showered with wealth and respect. Honor and glory. On a less selfish note, the district who's tribute wins receives extra food rations until the next arena." she paused and added "Hence why they are called "The Hunger Games." She rolled her eyes at that.

"But I've had a year of mentoring people who don't particularly care if I help them one way or another and it's given me a new purpose. I take pride in my work helping to bring out the best in people. Helping them gain skills that keep them alive that much longer...it gives me a sense of pride I haven't known before."

It was a bit flowery yes and Diana would have made fun of her for it...but there it was.
