Astrid's almost not really surprised to hear that not everyone was too good with a weapon. It should be giving her a bit of relief in that it meant she'd have a higher chance of winning in the games, except all it really tells her is that she'd be forced to have to kill people who couldn't even properly defend themselves. And there was no comfort in learning that.
