Mindy's hard at work, surprising no one. She's run the obstacle course a few times, been training with several of the dummies and finally managed to squeeze in some well deserved swimming time. For the time being, she was tranquil, happy in being busy and still planning plans in her head. She felt like she was getting stronger too, because her body was aching more than usual.
This stopped, though, when she saw something more than a little startling in the room with her. It was a kid: NOT someone like Clementine or Sandy or Pruna, but a little kid who looked like she had no business being here. Even she knew the difference.
How do you even approach someone like that?
"Hey kid," she said, looking at her sideways. "This is the training room. Might want to make yourself useful, if you get my drift."
