Initiate happy is a little terrifying, as big as the troll is (God forbid he ever see the guy angry), but even so his grinning is infectious and after what had happened in the mini-arena, he's glad there's no hard feelings.

Bolstered by Initiate's happy cry, he changes up his pattern to something a but more enthusiastic. The end of his spear taps double time, placing the base rhythm so the heavier strikes can grow into a lush soundscape, punctuated by the occasional strike of the metal spearhead instead of wood against the floor.

Once he lets go of how awkward it feels to be moving around and tapping a spear on the ground, he finds he's actually enjoying himself and flashes Initiate a grin to express it.
