Steve looks around when he gestures and maybe in some ways it does, but recently he'd learned about other worlds and races and beyond in his own universe. Maybe that being such a new discovery makes this less startling. The universe is vast, he's surprised he ever thought it could be limited.

The next comment though really catches Steve, his attention fully on the other man again. That's one thing with Steve, he might not respond to everything, but he always actively listened to everything.

"Is being involved in the Tributes final days that meaningful for you?" It's not said maliciously or even rude, just an honest wondering, like it's something he wants to understand not judge. There's even a hint of concern as he continues, "Can't be easy watching them go through this."
