"Crossbows seem as though they might be even easier," Helena considers. "They're smaller, so they'd be easier to lug around. The bolts are smaller too, aren't they? You could carry more around." And possibly modify that.

Definitely something to look into one day.

"Guns aren't...my dad was against guns," she says, then. "One was used to kill his parents right in front of him, and so he vowed never to use them, ever." One of the first things that Helena had been taught was to disarm a man with a gun.
