"Sometimes you have to do what you need to," she says quietly, tone neutral. "There's a phrase, the good of the many outweighs the sacrifices of the few, and some people apply it to situations like these." She knows she had, before she understood what this all was. "For some you need to learn how to ignore that sliver, and that is the price that they can take from you."
