Blaine had the idea to do a planned, spontaneous public performance. In fact, he still might but he could hardly ever pass up karaoke. And what better way then to impress the Capitol then good karaoke. (Because hardly any karaoke was good.) He wanted to show that he shouldn't be messed with, that he had strength.

He stopped exuding his losses, his displeasure at everyone a few days before. And it being Christmas didn't help. But, he still plastered a smile as he signed up for Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5.

By the time he finishes, he's sweating. The song got intense - just how he wanted it to come off.
