Well, force evidently wasn't going to work. Julian could see from here, the fact that her skin barely gave at the blow to the neck, and the one to the ear should have stumbled most humanoids, with the delicate inner-ear structures that helped balance in most of them.

The warning Brainy gave was, perhaps, a little less useful to someone who didn't have context. But he could assume it was nothing good.

His sneaking skills, of course, were nothing compared to Lyle's. But he's moving with intent, mastering his breathing and heart rate to give as little an indication of his presence as possible.

He's not sure if this will work. He knows how it's done, of course--he can target the trapezius nerve on any number of humanoid species, but he's not sure if Coluans--or, more specifically, this example of one--are vulnerable to the technique he's about to try.

Julian strikes as quickly as he can, snakelike, gripping with all his strength the precise pressure points that Vulcans could use to subdue any number of humanoid species.
