Ian nodded. "Don't worry," he said to Carlos, "I'm going to fix things." He didn't reply to Mindy just yet, wanting to see first what Carlos wanted to say. And this gave him some time to think of a plan the others would go along with. Although if they didn't like it, there was nothing to stop him rushing in on his metaphorical white horse and hoping for the best.
