He spent several hours training beforehand, and it still didn't put his mind at ease. He'd really torn into that kid during the last battle. He'd let his anger and emotions override his strategy, and looking at the footage, it was more like he was watching Raphael on steroids.

That frightened him. More than he cared to let on.

So after nearly annihilating a punching bag, Donatello was in a corner of the arena. He was on his knees, and his eyes were closed. He had to drift off. He had to try and let his emotions go.

Alex didn't like going to the training room. So much of it screamed of trying to intimidate each other while still keeping one's card close to the chest. Alex was more of a cards close to the chest kind of guy. He'd doing weight training where the other Tributes could see, but he'd practice his katas in his room. Instead, he spent most of his training time working on survival techniques, things he'd known just enough about to get through the previous Arena, but knowing more would never hurt.

With the notion of studying up on edible plants in mind, Alex strolled into the training room and almost walked right back out. Still, the edible plants station wasn't that close to the corner the giant turtle was sitting in. It wasn't like they had to talk to each other.

The damaged punching bag nearby probably didn't help matters, did it?

In any case, Donatello did sense the other presence. However, he didn't make any move towards Alex. He was instead trying to concentrate on his meditation, on letting go his anger and resentment and fear. Especially his fear of failing.

Alex squared his shoulders and walked over to the edible plants station. If the turtle picked a fight with him here, there were plenty of exits. And weapons. He looked busy meditating anyway.

Stopping at the plants station, Alex tried to concentrate on figuring out just which berries weren't safe to eat.
