He almost wanted to scold Marius, chide him for such a melodramatic display. But Courfeyrac's heart was not in it. He was moved by that same emotion and warmed by the sheer humanity of their reunion. His heart was heavy, his mind was wrought with worry, but he had his friend, his dear fool of a friend. And for the moment, he could appreciate that and cling to Marius just as desperately.
