[OPEN] They say Curiosity killed the cat...
Who: Terezi; OPEN
What: Exploring the city, trying to figure out what the hell is going on. Come meet the blind alien girl, let her sniff you, etc.
Where: District 3 Quarters, Training Area or out in the Capitol. (Anywhere that she might run into your character!)
When: Shortly after arrival; nowish.
Warnings: None that immediately come to mind.
Most people might be more apprehensive upon waking up in a strange place, being given a strange device, and told that they'll be participating in a strange--and rather macabre--death match event. Terezi Pyrope, however, has never been one for timidity.
She finds herself wandering the tribute-accessible regions of the Capitol, sniffing about whatever colorful bit of the city catches her fancy and interrogating whoever she comes across... So long as they seem in the least bit knowledgeable. That rules out most of the foppish looking citizens, but hey. There's always time for a break to harass the locals while on the hunt for Truth and Justice.
She realizes that she could probably find more immediate contact over this communication device, but let's be honest: She doesn't trust it as far as she can throw it.

Perhaps Terezi could smell the turtle upon her arrival. He was certainly difficult to miss, blind or otherwise.

She "watches" for a while--meaning she stands at a distance and stares at him with sightless red eyes while sniffing the air. She's never met someone with the same fighting style as her before, or at least the same weapon proficiency. "Sticks" usually didn't have enough lethality to be popular among troll youth.
"Isn't that cheating?" she calls after a while. "Having a built-in shield has to be against the rules or something; I'm calling foul."

He gave her a smile.
"So...hi."
Glasses. Either this girl had a sight problem or-

Terezi approaches the oversized turtle and picks up a han bo, similar to his but half the length. She taps it on the ground once... twice... Like someone might handle a walking cane. Then she grins up at him again.
"Hi. Wanna spar?"
no subject
Well. He'd chalk that up to whatever troll physiology graced trolls with. Like being a turtle gave him the shell this girl mentioned.
"Wouldn't mind it too much." He grasped the bo, quietly shifting his feet into position. "Though I ought to warn you, if the Peacemakers come in and think we're actually trying to fight for real, they'll try to stop us. So that you know."

She gives her stick a twirl in her hands, deftly rolling it over her fingers before getting a good grip on it. Nothing like a little bit of sass before a fight.
Terezi doesn't take a stance, but rather paces around the turtle, measuring him up. She knows that his staff has a better reach than hers, but she has the mobility of a one-handed weapon on her side.
For her, battles are a lot like an interrogation. Much of the beginning is in the intimidating silence.

"We'll have to see."
He wasn't much intimidated by her as he slowly turned on his heel to keep his eyes on her, or by her silence. Not that he didn't see her as a threat. Rather, she wouldn't be the first who was silent with when she would strike.
