Who| Klaine.
What| Kurt and Blaine discuss strategies for the next arena-- In other words, how to ham it up for the camera.
Where| Kurt's suite.
When| NOW? idk
Warnings/Notes| Who knows with these two. I'll edit if necessary.
[Kurt is more than a little antsy about letting Blaine in his room, but it's the only place he can think of that offers them any kind of privacy-- Or at least, he thinks so. It seems like there are eyes and ears everywhere in the Capitol, and Kurt never really felt safe. Having Blaine close by helped with that, at least a little, so he can deal with any potential awkwardness if it means a few moments' peace.
That, and they really need to get over that awkwardness if they're going to put on a good show in the arena. Kurt's stomach flops. No matter how many times Blaine says he's all right with faking this, Kurt isn't entirely convinced. Blaine is good at a lot of things, but he's lousy when it comes to hiding things, at least from Kurt.
He sighs. This is probably going to end in disaster.]

When he ends up at Kurt's suite he's let in by the silent servants. When he sees his ex boyfriend he manages to smile, mostly because he feels hope. As much as he says that he knows they're faking it, he can't help but hope that this will lead to something more.]
Hi. I brought cupcakes.
no subject
For me?
no subject
I had Peeta make them for you. He's pretty good, isn't he?
no subject
[He takes one out and noms it. The bite he took was pretty big, so now he has frosting all over his face, and he giggles as chews.]
[Muffled:] S'good!
no subject
You've made a mess.
no subject
Whatever. They're awesome. My compliments to the chef.

[Blaine stays close to Kurt, completely distracted by his giggles and the smile on his face.]
no subject
So, um-- Have a seat. Get comfortable.
no subject
What do you think of your room? [Because small talk is better than staring.]
I forgot to put my bedding in the dryer :\
[He glances around the room as he munches his cupcake.]
But Blaine... As much as I'd love to discuss interior design with you, we should probably start discussing what you came here for.
laaaame.

[Already his heart is pounding with anxiety. He's starting to doubt himself, this whole plan.]
no subject
no subject
That.

no subject
Don't leave it all up to me. That's hardly fair.
no subject
Kurt...
Do you want people to know what I did? We can play up the forgiveness aspect of it, if you want?
Or would that be too close to the truth?
no subject
No. No, you-- Are you crazy?
no subject
So what is our story then? Why aren't we together? People already know that much.
no subject
Aren't.
[He's starting to feel uncomfortable.]
no subject
We could... we could do a Romeo and Juliet thing? We could say that my parents didn't approve?
[Because there's no way they're bad mouthing Burt by claiming he's the one who disapproved.]
no subject
But our families aren't here. There isn't anything holding us back.
[Saying that is so strange, because in reality there is something. A very big, very ugly something that still has yet to get any easier to deal with.]
no subject
Maybe we should just tell the truth?
no subject
[Yeah that was harsh, but he's really starting to second guess this idea.]
Look, let's just forget it, okay? This was a lousy idea to begin with.
no subject
[He's trying really hard not to show how much heart break he's suffering from, not when Kurt is the one who has the right to be hurt.]
And we still are, aren't we? No matter what. You're my best friend.
no subject
[Silence falls over them, uncomfortable. He stares at his hands and fidgets for a while, thinking. It's a few minutes before he speaks again. ]
We're afraid to get close to one another because of the games. We... We're afraid of what might happen to us. Not all that far from the truth, right?
no subject
Okay.
We could do that too because... Because of how I reacted this time. It would make sense that we wouldn't want to repeat that.
no subject
[He fidgets a little.]
So, um. There's that. So-- Shall we plan for the next arena in particular?
no subject

no subject
[Kurt smiles wryly, shrugging.]
I don't want them to see anything.
no subject
I know... I know, it's private, but... Maybe if we plan out some 'scenes' for them. It's just acting that way.
no subject
[He takes a moment to think it over, then slides closer to Blaine.]
Maybe you could...look for me. And I could try to lose you, but end up coming back. Right?
