I am the man who would fight for your honor
Who| Albert, Jet, their friends, all the Tributes, stylists, mentors, etc.
What| Albert & Jet get married!
Where| The Tiberius Ainsworth Memorial Atrium
When| Saturday, October 25th
Warnings/Notes| N/A?
With the change of the seasons, the sun seems to set at an earlier hour everyday. As such, by the time four o'clock rolls around, the sky over the mountains has taken on a deep orange hue. The evening is cloudless and promises a beautiful starry night for whoever is bold enough to stay up late enough to see it. It is truly a splendid evening, the perfect day for the joining of two hearts.

The atrium was decorated in black, silver, and gold color schemes, with tasteful bursts of metallic and random abundances of orchids in vibrant, tropical hues. The attendees were led to seats on either side of the aisle and the numerous media figures prepped themselves at the back of the atrium. A beautiful melody played and the members of the wedding party walked down the aisle.

Once the ceremony was finished and the officiant pronounced Albert & Jet legally married, the guests were instructed to throw confetti and disperse into the reception area.

The cameras are rolling, the music is playing, and it's time to kick back and celebrate. As a wedding gift, the Capitol has lifted the curfew for the night, so feel free to dance the night away!

Later
And hours later, with some of the guests more raucous with drink and the younger ones shuffling off to bed, that's what makes Albert approach Aang with a smile and an aim of keeping him from dropping right out of his chair. "It's alright if you want to go to bed, we won't be offended."

Aang blushes, having been caught dozing. And by one of the grooms! How embarrassing.
He straightens up, giving Albert a sheepish smile and trying (and failing) to blink his sleepiness away. "No! No, I've never been to a wedding before. I'd like to be able to see it all." He is going to fall asleep under a table if he keeps it up, but he's a kid and kids are dumb sometimes. "Congratulations on getting married, sir."
no subject
At Aang's congratulations, Albert smiles broadly. He doesn't usually, any smile he gives generally being more reticent and with a hint of melancholy or stress to it, but tonight he's completely unfettered. "Thank you. It's been a long time coming. I hope you've enjoyed yourself tonight. I saw you dancing, you're very graceful."
no subject
He lets out a soft laugh, folding his hands in his lap before giving a sheepish smile. "I'm actually kind of surprised it's lasted as long as it has. I've never been to a wedding, but my friends who have say they usually only last a couple hours. But those are Air Nomad weddings." And the few that happened were usually beautiful but modest, or so he was told.
no subject
"Some weddings can be much more low key, but I don't think they do anything low key around here." Though for once, that suits him just fine. German weddings have always been large and boisterous celebrations. It would almost be like home if it weren't for the strange clothes, the frivolous attitudes, and the threat of death looming over them. Well, that last one is familiar. "It all just depends on what the couple wants."
no subject
"And you wanted this?" The man seems happy, so he's guessing it's a yes and not a 'the Capitol made me.' He perks, but despite his interest, he has to stifle a yawn. Poor baby is tired. "That's good. I wasn't sure if they'd let you choose stuff."
no subject
"We can talk more some other time, for now I really think you had better head off to bed or someone will end up having to carry you."
no subject
Aang props his head up in his hands and gives Albert a smile, even as his eyelids are drooping. "I stayed up a whole night once. Not because I wanted to, but I still did it." He says it with just a little bit of the childish pride little boys and girls have when they've done adult things, like staying up late or trying a sip of wine. He has to stifle another yawn. "But you're probably right. I'm glad this was mostly what you wanted."
no subject
He wishes he could get to know Aang a little better, but right now isn't the time, not with his head continually slipping down in a poorly directed attempt to reach a pillow.
no subject
He'd like to keep meeting new people, to talk to all of them and learn about their worlds and life stories, but little growing boys really need their sleep, so he'll go and do that.
