[OPEN] Curfew Mingling Log
Who| All residents of the Tribute Center
What| The curfew is now in effect.
Where| Each floor of the Tribute Center.
When| 11pm-7am
Warnings/Notes| Each floor will get a log to mingle. Locate yours below and have at it!
Over the past couple of days, tributes may have noticed increased activity and discussion between Peacekeepers and that Escorts may have appeared to be on edge. Any attempts by tributes to discover what is happening are quickly shut down, but in the end they don't have long to wait for an answer.
As of today, Tributes will be told via Peacekeeper, Escort, or one of the notices now hung up around the Tribute Centre, the following order:
Mandatory Tribute Curfew
11pm - 7am
For the safety of citizens and Tributes a curfew is now in effect for all tributes. Between the hours listed above, all Tributes must report to and remain within their designated district suites. Any Tributes who fail to return to or are discovered outside their assigned floor between these hours will face disciplinary action.
You didn't think it had escaped the Capitol's notice how many of your little acts of rebellion occurred after dark, did you?
The time is now 11pm. Do you know where your District mates are? Time to check in and mingle with the people you live with. Have fun, everyone!

Secret option D: voice and picture messages
I miss you already, Sparrow. Don't get too lonely without m-
[There's a loud knock and a sudden crackling noise of speaker against carpet.]
Shit!
[A moment later and Albert seems to have regained his phone. He doesn't sound worried, just embarrassed.]
I have a visitor. I'll call you back.
[Click]
You cheater
He could just imagine his partner leaving him some soppy message and then being startled by the thought of someone catching him. He probably would've laughed his ass off if he'd seen it.
He decides to return the call and let it leave a message for when Albert can get back to his phone.]
I miss you too, Al. [A pause.] Already kinda lonely, honestly. I miss your snoring.
no subject
I don't snore.
[Okay, that's a lie.]
Loudly.
[Sooo much better.]
I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep tonight though. Not without you.
no subject
What? Can't find some needlessly feathery pillow to smother yourself in?
...I've moved out to the living room area cause I just kept tossing and turning. Got a few books with me.
[His shrug was nearly audible. He'd accepted his sleepless fate and the pause at the end of his sentence held a silent prodding for Albert to offer up what his distraction method was for the night.]
no subject
We're building a blanket fort.
[He can't help but feel there's some kind of role reversal going on here.]
no subject
He's marginally successful.]
You're having fun? Who are you and where's my fiance?
[Despite his teasing, he is glad to hear his partner's doing something with himself.]
How's it looking so far?
no subject
[No actually it's kind of fun.
In response to the request for progress, Albert sends a little video that pans across the living room. Someone (Albert) has set up a relatively elaborate rope system using structural pillars of the building and tied blankets to put together quite the canopy.]
no subject
I see you've been very helpful.
[Like he doesn't know who's applied mechanics to a blanket fort.]
Is that where you're going to be sleeping tonight?
Not too old for sleeping on the floor?
no subject
[Maybe. He's going to pop and click more than an old film reel in the morning if the does that but the prospect of trying to alone in his cold bed and empty room seems worse. Besides, it's not as if he'll manage any winks without Jet beside him. He'll probably move around enough that it won't be a problem.]
What about you? You should try and rest at least, even if you can't sleep.
no subject
But he shrugged in response to that last part.]
I'm sitting around. Fee's here, at least, but that's probably as much resting as I'll get done.]
no subject
[Well, Albert feels lucky. He's not so sure about Jet being stuck on the same floor as Nasir, but here at least he's fairly certain the peacekeepers will keep anything from happening. He's heard tell the other man won't leave his room anyway, and Jet has Fee to hang out with so it's not all bad.
Even if he'd give an arm and a leg to be able to spend the night with his fiance again.]
Oh. I don't remember if I told you, but I asked to be allowed a room for the both of us after the wedding. I'm not sure they'll grant it, but it's worth a try.
no subject
[It'd certainly be nice to be able to stay with his new husband instead of staying up all night and waiting for the morning to be with him.]
You should at least try and doze, Al. You get kinda moody when you're tired, you know.
[It was true, but it was said with affection.]
no subject
[He might be pouting. In fact, he's totally pouting. Stupid Capitol and their stupid curfew.
There is one small light in the dark though.]
At least there's food. Doctor Banner stress cooks and he knows food from dozens of countries. He made pancake soup.
no subject
[Jet is sincerely baffled. All he can imagine is a bunch of pancakes thrown in something like a chicken broth which just sounded gross as hell.]
What the heck is that?
no subject
[He'd used the German name for it then and their cyborg chips hadn't translated it. The Capitol ones work differently.]
You liked it.
no subject
[Jet's silent as he thinks back, trying to remember all the various German dishes he'd tried with Albert.]
I think I remember what you're talking about, yeah...
[He turned a small grin on Albert.]
You should save me some.
no subject
[At the rate Bruce is going there should be plenty of leftovers. They might need a bigger fridge.]
How is Felicity? I haven't spoken to her in awhile.
[He's been too wrapped up in the wedding planning.]
no subject
[Jet smirked as he regurgitated her phrasing. It still amused him.]
Oh! She agreed to be my best man or..whatever.
no subject
[Wait, what?]
Sordid novels?
no subject
I think they're sordid for her, you know...19th century girl and all that. I flipped through it and it looked like a normal cheesy romance novel.
[He pauses, thinking about something she'd said.]
This is gonna sound left-field, but I think we should take her out somewhere, I think she's gotten lonelier. I've been staying with you this whole time and...well, a certain asshole hasn't come out of his room in something close to a week.
[Jet may want to wring Nasir's neck with his bare hands, but he knew Fee still missed his company, even if she would deny it.]
no subject
Alright. Find out where she'd like to go and we'll take her. Maybe shopping? That usually cheered Francoise up.
[You know Albert cares about someone when he volunteers to go shopping. He hates it, unless it's for music.]
no subject
[His amusement is palpable despite his words, he was actually glad to hear it, considering what he knew it meant.]
I dunno if shopping's her bag, but I'll ask her.
no subject
[Geeze Jet, judgmental much?]
So yes, please ask.
