[OPEN] Curfew Mingling Log

Who| All residents of the Tribute Center
What| The curfew is now in effect.
Where| Each floor of the Tribute Center.
When| 11pm-7am
Warnings/Notes| Each floor will get a log to mingle. Locate yours below and have at it!

Over the past couple of days, tributes may have noticed increased activity and discussion between Peacekeepers and that Escorts may have appeared to be on edge. Any attempts by tributes to discover what is happening are quickly shut down, but in the end they don't have long to wait for an answer.

As of today, Tributes will be told via Peacekeeper, Escort, or one of the notices now hung up around the Tribute Centre, the following order:

Mandatory Tribute Curfew

11pm - 7am

For the safety of citizens and Tributes a curfew is now in effect for all tributes. Between the hours listed above, all Tributes must report to and remain within their designated district suites. Any Tributes who fail to return to or are discovered outside their assigned floor between these hours will face disciplinary action.

You didn't think it had escaped the Capitol's notice how many of your little acts of rebellion occurred after dark, did you?

The time is now 11pm.  Do you know where your District mates are?  Time to check in and mingle with the people you live with.  Have fun, everyone!

Albert too is restless, though he contains himself mostly to his room, or intends to at least. Jet may have only just left his side a few minutes ago to go downstairs but the absence of his fiance is already a gaping wound. He may or may not be trying to fill it by sending Jet a sappy little voice message already when Terezi knocks on his door.

He nearly drops his device, scrambling to grab it and snap it shut before answering hoarsely. "Come in."

Terezi doesn't need more than that to come into the room, making sure to shut the door behind her. She's trying not to let it show, but she looks worried. It's in the way she approaches the bed and the way that she stands there, subconsciously wringing her hands together. It feels weird to just climb onto his bed without invitation, but weirder yet to just stand there and not say anything.

"They wouldn't let me stay on floor five."
silberfuchs: (figure it out)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-10-20 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"I know. They wouldn't let Jet stay here either." He sits heavily on the edge of the bed and lets out a sigh. It could be worse, they could have carted him off to who knows where and Albert would never know what happened, but he'd just been taken back to floor 2 and he'll see him in the morning. That's what he tells himself to try and dull the ache of absence, at any rate.

After a moment he realizes Terezi is still standing at the door and he pats the edge of the bed beside him, an invitation to sit, to talk if she needs it. He suspects so, else why would she have come to him? "It's just for the night, only a few hours."

Only a few hours, he says. "It doesn't take that long for them to grab someone." That someone being Fraysong, of course.

Albert offers a seat on his bed, and after a bit of hesitation, Terezi sits down next to him and pulls her knees up to her chest. He doesn't seem nearly as worried, and she can't help but wonder how he does it. How does he stop worrying, how does he know it's going to be okay?

"The last time they took him away from me, they cut out his voice. I don't... want him to disappear again. I don't want anyone to disappear."
silberfuchs: (over the shoulder)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-10-21 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Oh he's worried. He's worried they'll haul Jet off still in the dead of night. He's worried they'll gas an entire District floor for being too much trouble, his or Jet's, and they'll never see each other again. He's worried they'll decide to extend the curfew around the clock, that Jet will do something stupid to try and escape, that something will happen to Jet before they can finally get married because that's just the course that Albert's life always takes and just further proof that his love is a death sentence. He's anxious and terrified and utterly helpless.

But that's not what Terezi needs. Terezi needs a calming presence, she needs to know it will be alright even if Albert has doubts of his own. He keeps his voice even and patient, betraying nothing of the panic he's managed to fight down. "No one's going to disappear. You have your phone still, you can call him and keep in touch. It's going to be alright."
pythianjudgment: ([d] i walk a lonely road)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-10-26 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah. She can still call him to make sure that he's okay, even if she hasn't yet. It feels like such a wriggler thing to do. They've barely been separated for even ten minutes, and she's already terrified of what might being going on without her knowing. Not that knowing would be any better. She's not sure what she would do if they carted him away while they were speaking together. Try to get to him, probably. Be sedated, most likely. End up in jail again--She stops that strain of thought right there.

Instead, she leans herself against Albert, her shoulder pressing against his side--so long as he'll allow her to. "It's going to be a long night. I don't think I'm going to make it."

Her attempt at dramatic humor falls a little flat, but it's clear that she's trying to make the best of this.
silberfuchs: (adoring)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-10-26 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
He recognizes it for what it is and chuckles, pulling her a little closer as he wraps one arm across her shoulders in solidarity and comfort. "Then we can lament the lack of our - what would you call them, quadrant-mates? - we can lament that together."

He's proud of her for keeping it together. He knows how hard that is to do considering he's doing the same. Hell, he was on the phone with Jet immediately before Terezi came in. He couldn't even go ten minutes. Congratulations, Terezi. You have more self control than a hundred year old former cyborg.

"What should we do to pass the time, do you think?"
pythianjudgment: ([n] chitchat)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-10-26 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Terezi nods when he gets the term right. Quadrantmates. She's glad that he used that one. That is probably the best way to describe what they are right now. As it stands, Terezi thinks that Jet is holding himself together much better than she is. She does not, however, know that he was trying to call Jet already. Not that it would change her opinion too much.

He asks what they should do, and she has to think about that one. What can they do? They're confined to one floor of the building. They don't have to sleep, but they're not allowed to leave. Which is probably good, since Terezi doesn't think that she'll be able to sleep anyway.

What she really wants to do is cause some kind of destruction. Something that will send a message that this isn't okay. Or at least something that feels productive in some sense. What she finally settles on is a little of both, but not outright troublesome:

"...We could build a blanket fort."
silberfuchs: (surprised)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-10-27 02:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"A blanket fort," he echoes her as if it's a foreign concept. "That was your first thought?"

Though he doesn't have any better ideas and it will keep them up and moving around instead of tossing in bed and not sleeping. Even if it is incredibly childish. but what should he expect? Terezi is still a child after all, at least by Human standards.

He moves his hand from her shoulder to the top of her head, avoiding her horns and ruffling her hair with a soft laugh and then standing up from the bed. "Alright. Why don't we start gathering supplies then?"
pythianjudgment: ([g] and another thing)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-11-01 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Terezi gives Albert a look like she's judging him for "Blanket Fort" not being his first thought, too. What else does he expect them to do? They can't sleep, there are no games available. Building things is a troll's first inherent skill. It's only natural that she should fall back on it.

He ruffles her hair, and she ducks her head in response, scrunching up her nose in protest. "Wow, rude." But she can't complain too much. He is offering to help her build this fort that she wants to make. When he tells her to start gathering supplies, she leans over and snatches up his pillows and starts trying to drag his comforter out from under him.

"Already on it."
silberfuchs: (coming atcha)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-11-02 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Getting to his feet before Terezi manages to topple him from the bed, Albert grins and gives the comforter a good tug, trying to topple her in turn. Never let it be said that he has no sense of humor.

"I'll get these, you get the ones from your room and ask around for others. Since we're all stuck here anyway, maybe they'd like to help." And if it means she keeps distracted, then it helps even if no one else wants to.
pythianjudgment: ([g] the prosecution sees no coin)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-11-07 12:54 am (UTC)(link)
Terezi is a difficult one to unseat. As soon as she realizes what Albert is about to do, she flops backwards onto the bed and sprawls across it, trying to take up as much area as possible and basically making it impossible to just yank the cover out from under her.

"No, wait. Roll me up first. Like one of your tasty human cultural dishes." What she means to say is "burrito", but that is probably the closest she can get to describing it. It's not like she grew up eating human food or something.
silberfuchs: (happy)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-11-07 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
With Terezi spread on the bed, Albert stops trying to tug the comforter out. He probably could with some effort, but this looks like it'll be far more fun. "Well, if you're certain you're prepared for burritohood."

Grin firmly on his face, Albert tosses the end of the blanket over Terezi, leaving her head uncovered, and rolls her from one end of the bed to the other taking the blanket with him and effectively turning his suite mate into the bed linen equivalent of traditional Mexican cuisine. A moment later, he's lifting her up and carrying her across one shoulder out into the common area. "A dish this delicious should be shared with the entire suite, don't you think?"
pythianjudgment: ([g] wanna go)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-11-10 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Terezi responds to the rolling and the lifting by making snarly sounds and wiggling in her blanket cocoon. She is a fierce dragon, and this is clearly an injustice. Even if this is exactly what she asked for.

"A dish this delicious should be revered as the most awesome of dragon burrito dishes. I demand the puny mortal to place me on the couch where I may bask in my cushioned glory!"
silberfuchs: (genuine laughter)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-11-11 04:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"What can I do but obey, oh burrito lord," Albert replies with a smirk and a tone of laughter. A few steps and he deposits Terezi on the couch in all her blanket-wrapped glory, letting her bounce on the overstuffed cushions for effect.

"Your throne, Dragonritto Majesty."
pythianjudgment: (pic#7427763)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-11-13 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Terezi makes a soft oof sound when Albert deposits her on the couch. Then the snarly and wiggling commences again until she manages to wiggle her way out of the blanket. The process ends up rolling her onto the floor, but she doesn't seem too bothered by it. Instead, she lunges at Albert's legs with a particularly ~fearsome~ snarl, aiming to take him out at the knees.

It's probably a good thing that the floor is carpeted, just in case.
silberfuchs: (reclining)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-11-13 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
At the sudden and unexpected attack, Albert lets out a supremely undignified squawk and goes toppling down in a heap on the carpet. The resulting impact has him groaning, but it's the amused sort of groan that leaves spaces in between for laughter to bubble up.

"I've been hit, I'm down," he flops his arms out, akimbo on either side. "I am vanquished."
pythianjudgment: ([g] wanna go)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-11-15 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Albert goes down like a wild hoofbeast in the grasslands, and Terezi cackles like the fiend she is. He flops his arms out at his sides, and that's only invitation for her to flop her own self across his stomach, laying claim to her prize.

"The mighty dragon will now feast on the unwitting sacrifice that has been provided for her." And by feast, she of course means she's going to attempt to tickle the shit out of his stomach. Are you ticklish, Albert? She hopes so.
silberfuchs: (genuine laughter)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-11-16 07:52 pm (UTC)(link)
He gives a soft 'oof' at being sprawled on and a chuckle at her attempts to tickle him. He is ticklish, just only in certain places and his stomach and sides aren't numbered among them. Still, this sort of behavior behooves retaliation and so he grabs her and starts tickling back, fingers waggling along her sides in the knowledge that people who go for tickling tend to be ticklish themselves.

"Looks like the 'unwitting sacrifice' is not so unwitting after all! It was a trap!"
pythianjudgment: ([o] shoutpole surprises)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-11-20 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
The manner in which Terezi lets out a shriek of humorous dismay makes it clear that Albert's assumptions were right. She is extremely ticklish, and she squirms violently, trying to pull out of his grasp and away from his tickling.

"Traitor! Fiend! Betrayal! Stop, stop, stop!" She continues to shriek and squirm, making a ridiculous amount of noise for after curfew hours.
silberfuchs: (coming atcha)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-11-25 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
He doesn't let up right away, waiting until she's gasping before he withdraws and sits up on the floor, short hair poofing out at strange angles for all the squirming and a broad grin across his face. "Had enough?"
pythianjudgment: ([d] my life is difficult)

[personal profile] pythianjudgment 2014-11-30 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"You," she emphasizes between gasping breaths, "are a terrible person." Terezi sits up and shoves him back--maybe a little harder than strictly necessary, but she's still only playing around. Her stomach hurts from laughing, and he's probably lucky she didn't kick him in the face.

"Once we are done building this blanket fort, you are barred from admittance! That is your punishment. You can sit outside the fort and think about what you've done."
silberfuchs: (not worried)

[personal profile] silberfuchs 2014-12-02 03:19 pm (UTC)(link)
"Actually I think I get along quite well at personhood." He falls back on his butt, laughter edging silently around his expression and mingling with an upswell of familial affection for Terezi. She's trying so hard to cope and appearing to succeed. He finds he's actually quite proud of her.

"But if you're going to be so exclusive about entry, perhaps I'll protest your fort. I'll sit outside with a sign that reads 'Terezi's reign of terror must end! Blanket forts are for the community!'"
