Rainbow Bridge to Murder Realm
Who| Thor Odinson and ALL
What| Thor's arrival, standard arrival things. Helping the masses and all that jazz.
Where| District 2, The Roof and the commons. Prompts will be posted in individual comments after a little rambly introspection about arriving.
When| 10/5
Warnings/Notes| Angry, angry Asgardians.
It was probably a little too optimistic to assume it would be clear sailing from here on out for Thor. It had been a rocky few days, last he remembered. The loss of his most beloved mother and his.. somewhat estranged but uncannily redeemed brother, weighs heavily on his mind. It isn't a burden a little vacation to Midgard could ever ease, but time with Jane does make for one hell of a coping mechanism. Life had taken interesting turns from his initial plans to rule Asgard indefinitely, but but he can say with certainty it was all for the better. With some important exceptions, of course. When one's growth comes at the sacrifice of others, you cannot help but question the worth of it.
Arriving in what he can easily assume is a faction of Midgardian he has yet to discover without his consent isn't anything new to him, but it is deeply unsettling. He had listened intently to what he had been taught, and he had fought it, only to be sedated again and roused a few hours later. He's groggier than any amount of coffee can account for, but it doesn't take long for him to sober up to the hard facts. This is an atrocity, but his first concerns are not for himself, but for who else could be here.
With that in mind, it doesn't take him long to stretch his legs and take a spin around the dorms. He is doing his best to control his temper until he finds someone truly deserving of being lashed out at, but his buttons are damn easy to push.

[Clementine points to the screen where people are hitting each other with the foam weapons from where she's perched, cross-legged, on the end of a sofa. She's become more relaxed about talking to people here now, understanding that no tributes would hurt each other outside of the arena.
They'd be in too much trouble if they did.
After a moment of craning her neck to take him in she speaks again.]
I guess you just got here.

Is my ignorance so telling, little one? [He asks with a raised brow.] What do you know of this place? How long have they kept you here?
no subject
[A grin cuts across her face, a flash of mischief before she answers his question.]
Just over a month, so I haven't actually been in an arena, I'm still learning things too.
[Her eyes narrow.]
I saw, they called it a 'mini arena', on the television soon after I got here. It's not so fun.

He doesn't know quite how to word his concern in a way that won't rattle her, but he can't sate his curiousity until he knows.]
Do they intend to have you fight? Are you capable of it? [Perhaps it's a little personal to ask, but he needs to know whether he'll be shadowing her come the first day of battle.]
Anything you can tell me will be of use to me, my friend.
no subject
Humour never seems to last long in the Capitol though.]
Yeah, they do. Before they started bringing people from other places it only used to be kids they made fight, they don't care how old you are. [ Though not quite as young as Clem, she's a year shy still of the old requirements, it's true though, they don't care. She's not unused to the concerned reactions and shrugs her shoulders] I haven't really killed people before... I've killed things like people though.
[She's not one to tiptoe around her experience either.]
I can tell you how they work.
no subject
You should not be here. [He admits finally, shaking his head and just trying to stomach the situation.] Know this, little one, if you will tell me what you know, I will do everything in my power to assist you. [He'll offer a little chuckle when she states her skills, wanting to remove some of the grim from the conversation for a moment.] Even if you are too brave for the likes of Thor.
no subject
She gives Thor a wry smile, as he shakes his head she mutters] Tell me about it.
[And then, oh... Clem would be annoyed if it wasn't obvious how utterly sincere he is about every word. For a moment she can't think of what to say to such a dramatic statement (she's mildly reminded of Roland by the way he talks) and settles for the most obviously acceptable response.]
Thank you... is that your name, Thor? Sounds cool.
no subject
There is no need to thank me, just know that I am a man of my word. [He nods, wondering where his word will take him in the future. At her question, he cannot contain a short laugh, of all the things to take note of..]
Indeed it is, on both counts. What do you go by?
no subject
[She smiles up at him, not sure why it's funny but happy to go along with it.]
I'm Clementine, nice to meet you, Thor.
no subject
It is a pleasure to meet you too, I only wish it could be under more favourable circumstances. [He gives his shoulders a small shrug.] Enlighten me, little one, is there anything you consider to be enjoyable here?
no subject
Me too. [She pauses to think about this but it takes only a second for the answer to pop out of her mouth.]
The food's good, and there's a lot of it.
no subject
I do enjoy food. [He admits like this was some big secret.] Midgardian cuisine is best enjoyed in abundance, I've hardly scratched the surface of your baked goods. [He thinks on that for a moment.] And I have missed coffee.

[Clementine hops lightly off the couch.]
Come on, I'll show you where to get the coffee. You might have to ask someone else about the ale.
[She'll lead him to the coffee machine provided for tributes off to one side.]
