Okay, this is going to take him a minute, here. Sam'd think something had happened to Steve - is getting turned into a woman weirder than super soldier serum or formerly dead friends turned brainwashed Hydra assassins, he can't decide - but that doesn't seem right.
She'd introduced herself as Stephanie, and she'd expected him to recognize her. She knows him - somehow - so they can't have just erased Steve's memory and made him think he was a woman or something. And Steve already knows he's here, wouldn't be asking when it'd happened.
"Few days," he replies, answering the easier question while he tries to figure out what the hell and kind of wishes he was close enough to one of the benches to sit down.
"You, uh. Don't exactly look like Cap. I mean, you kind of do, guess that's where I was getting the familiarity from, but-" There's a pause, and he just goes for it, because the rambling's going no where. "The Captain America I know is Steve Rogers."
